On Saturday, April 14th, five members and guests of a bluegrass band, with "newgrass," oldtime, swing rhythms, traditional and original songs, fiddle tunes, and a few Mariachi songs will perform at El Casino, with a large dance floor, and full bar. this is a dance party that will have something to offer everyone. Summerdog was formed in Tucson and was very popular from 1976 to 1982. The band recorded three albums, played regular gigs including at Old Tucson, and they toured the Western US. They played often at the Splinter Brothers Warehouse. This is a true reunion-- a few days ago they got together here in Tucson for the first time in 30 years, and they are getting ready for the night. F Guests will include fiddler Peter Rowland, now living in Phoenix, Earl Edmonson, Stephan George, a fiddler from Missouri yet to be named and more friends of Summerdog. A CD of Summerdog's early material has been remastered and will be available at the show. Two cuts are above and the rest of the CD can also be heard on this site by clicking above!

Advance tickets at $18, $9 for children 10-17, are available now by clicking on Buy Tickets, and at all Bookmans stores, Antigone Books, 411 N 4th Ave. and the Folk Shop, 2525 N. Campbell. Under 21 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
TKMA members, TFTM members and seniors 60+ receive a $2 discount online and at Antigone Books and the Folk Shop--no fee at Antigone and the Folk Shop., $1.50 fee at Bookmans. Online fees are $2.50 per adult ticket; $2 per child ticket; use drop-down for discounts.

A portion of the proceeds of this show will be contributed to TKMA (www.tkma.org) to support the 2012 Folk Festival to be held May 5 and 6 this year.
